Today we’re giving you a little behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of auto body work. One of our guests came in with a roughed-up quarter panel on a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Typically, we’d just order the part in need of replacement. But sometimes, as was the case in this story… parts are back ordered – to get the job done, we have to call in a special order. But that doesn’t upset us…
We ordered a full quarter panel… and this is what it looks like when it gets to us:
We held the pickles, and the lettuce… and the cheese to get to the one part that we needed. it’s a good thing we have excellent craftsmen who know exactly how to get that part off of this quartered vehicle, so that we can precisely match it and patch it to the one we’re fixing! In the end, the structure of our guests vehicle will have all the integrity of the original, and will drive out looking as good as new!
